Salary: Circa £25,000 pro rata p/a dependent on experience
Plus access to annual bonus
Job Role:
This is an exciting time to join Medica, the UK’s largest Telemedicine provider, as we expand our offering to the NHS and launch a new service in Telepathology.
This role is part of a job-share where you would be covering the hours of 8.30am-5pm on Thursday and Friday (15 hours in total) each week.
We are looking for reliable and quality focused Digital Pathology Assistants to join our team, based in Runcorn city centre, to receive and process case work; scan slides; quality check & upload scans and images. You’ll also be responsible for liaising with clinical staff & clients; managing discrepancies; and accountable for the lab when the Manager is out of the office.
This essential role will assist the NHS in reducing cancer patient waiting times and there is vast potential in the growth of telepathology services, which is why getting the right person for this role is so important.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has knowledge of histology or digital pathology and experience of working in an office environment. You will need to be computer literate, confident in dealing with administrative tasks and a flexible team player.

Job requirements
Requirements:
- A high level of quality in their work and excellent attention to detail
- Familiarity with quality checking forms / images / slides
- Ability to work well within a small team or autonomously
- Experience of making rational decisions surrounding workflow and prioritisation
- Standard computer skills, e.g. Microsoft Office
- Ability to be adaptive, flexible, and when appropriate, independent
- Demonstrable customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
