Job Role:

Medica Group is the market leader in the provision of teleradiology and managed radiology services to the UK and Ireland. We are now recruiting for a Radiographer to join our growing permanent Radiology team at VHI360 Carrickmines.
We are open to Basic Grade Radiographers looking forward to their next step and be trained in different modalities but also to Senior Radiographers willing to be trained in new modalities (MRI or DXA), looking for a better work-life balance and be part or a great team.
We will be happy to discuss the working hours with the right candidate as we have part-time and full-time options available as a result of internal promotions.

This is a great opportunity for a General Radiographer with at least two years of experience post qualification willing to work across different modalities (X-Ray, MRI and DXA) who are looking for a new challenge in a clinically led, patient-focused organisation like Medica Ireland.

Job requirements

As a Senior Radiographer, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Be responsible for delivering high standards of diagnostic imaging and patient care in a safe and effective manner.
  • Act as the key radiographer-person of contact within the local clinic for all managers and Staff.
  • Assist the nominated Radiology Services Manager (RSM) with any potential recruitment & induction of new radiographers.
  • Assist in achieving and maintaining CHKS accreditation by helping to review, & develop relevant protocols, policies and procedures.
  • Partake in the comprehensive clinical audit schedule and assist where necessary.
  • Be the lead radiographer in communications with our key stake holders, always maintaining good working relationships with colleagues and with non-radiographic staff.
  • Ensure that Radiation Safety procedures are implemented in the Department in accordance with relevant legislation and subsequent Local Rules and that all Radiation incidents are reported.


Requirements:

Certifications & Qualifications

  • Diagnostic Radiography degree.
  • Radiography experience post qualification.

Essential

  • Be a registered member of CORU.
  • Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • An ability to work independently.
  • Dynamic, highly motivated and dedicated to delivering the highest standards of clinical practice.
  • Experience in compliance with organisational policies, procedures and protocols including Quality Assurance and Key Performance Indicators.

Desirable

  • Masters in Magnetic Resonance Imaging or equivalent.
